Drawing to an end:
2015 has seen a large growth in the player attendance at most of the events this year. As the tournament series draws closer to its conclusion, there is still a big double point event to prep and run. And then preparation begins for the Finale.
How can any of the players not be excited for a $12,000+ finale? Even though we are looking at a lot of work in preparation and the running of the event, we can not be happier. As soon as the double point event is over, we will be unveiling the schedule for the Finale. The conclusion of the double point event will also show us who will be playing in the Grand Finale. The top 8 women and top 16 men from each region will get a free entry into the Grand Finale and a shot at the big money.
Last year and our first year, we had 1 fun day of events for our Finale. This year, we will 3 days jam packed with events. We will, of course, have the Grand finale, the All Star Challenge, flighted singles, capped trios and team events, and some great blind draws.
The All Star Challenge is a new event for this year. This event will be for the top point earners. The top 4 men and top 2 women on the point list in each division will play this new and exciting event. Each Regions “All Stars” will play a round robin tournament with a variety of games. The top 2 teams will play a head to head match in a winner take all final.
Preparation for next years series is already underway. When we start planning the tournament series, we will need larger venues. Our players inputs are always welcome. If you have a place that you would like to play or would like to see added to the event list, please submit your requests, we would love to hear them.
